“Born in a southern Ohio college town, his early writing styles had a punk folk surf rock flair. One year after the loss of his musician father, he began performing for crowds at the age of 12. Soon seeking new inspiration from Motown, funk, pop, lounge and hip hop, he found eclectic idols in the likes of Tom Waits, Prince, Bill Withers, David Byrne, TCQ, Michael Jackson, and Black Thought of The Roots.
Finding his voice and dynamic stage presence came with the role as frontman for funk jazz bands, hip hop groups, features on rap records and a multitude of projects built around his vocal versatility. Now he’s living in Ithaca, NY and hasn’t let go of his foundational love for writing and performing solo with his acoustic guitar.”
